Jostens will return on Wednesday, September 8th from 3:00-6:00pm to take class ring orders. Ring information packets are available in the office.
Seniors who might be interested in Illinois College should see Mrs. Lauber for a scholarship opportunity.
A representative will be here on Tuesday during homeroom from MacMurray College. Interested juniors and seniors may plan to meet with him. On Thursday representatives will be here from Lindenwood University, St. Louis, and the University of Illinois at Springfield.
There will be a SADD informational meeting on Tuesday during homeroom. Everyone is invited to attend the meeting in the gym to find out more about SADD, but you must check in first with your homeroom teacher.
September is “Adopt a Platoon” Month at Lutheran High. Please help support our troops by donating items in the office commons throughout the month of September. A list of items needed can be found posted around school or you can contact Ms Thompson for more information.
Freshmen should sign up on Mrs. Lauber’s office door on the pink sheets for a time to meet with her beginning today. You will need to get a pass from her in order to leave class at your meeting time.
Fall Sports pictures have been rescheduled for Wednesday, September 29th. Picture order forms are available in the office or from your coach.
Picture retakes are scheduled for Monday, September 20th. Please let the office know if you plan to have your picture retaken.
On September 12th Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville will have a special Hymn Festival at 3:00pm. An Adult Choir and a Children’s Choir will sing. A string orchestra made up of professional adult and high school Lutheran musicians from the Metro-East area will accompany the hymns and a Jr. Orchestra made up of 1st-8th grade string students from area Lutheran Schools will also play. Rev. Dr. Art Eichhorn will be the organist. You won’t want to miss this – plan to come and celebrate and sing! Please call the church office at 618-344-3145 for more information.
Here is a great way to get community service hours! There will be a large bicycle race taking place in downtown Edwardsville on Sunday, September 12th, and volunteers are needed to work 4-hour shifts throughout the day as “marshals” along the bike route. If interested in participating, please see Mrs. Lauber.
The Advanced Driving School will be offering a driver’s ed course starting on Thursday, September 9th. Registration forms are available in the office.
Happy Birthday to Quinn Fuhrmann yesterday, and happy birthday to Austin Grant today! More happy birthday wishes to James Dumont tomorrow, Molly Gaither on Sunday, and both Ryan Tite and Sara Vlasak on Monday!
